Training sessions are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 AM, at the Ring Spa & Sport Center, located at Õismäe tee 130, Tallinn. Each session lasts 45 minutes and accommodates a maximum of 20 participants. Parking is available for free for up to four hours with a parking clock. Sessions are conducted in Estonian and Russian, with English offered if needed.
The training is suitable for all enthusiasts aged 55 and above, including those with diagnoses or conditions such as chronic muscle or joint pain, degenerative spinal changes, all forms of arthritis, mild to moderate paralysis (e.g., after a stroke), balance and coordination disorders, knee and/or hip joint replacement, Parkinson's disease, and other similar conditions.
In the training sessions, exercises are performed at a slow and gentle pace, targeting overall improvement in joint mobility, enhancement of muscle strength, development of balance and coordination, reduction of pain, and prevention of falls. Exercises can be done on a chair, mat, or standing. Simple and appropriate exercises are performed, which can be adapted according to an individual's ability. If necessary, a physiotherapist guides and instructs on how to make the exercises easier or more challenging. Each person can independently choose the pace and load based on their health and well-being.
The training consists of warm-up (approx. 10 min), the main part (approx. 25 min), and a relaxing part (approx. 10 min).
Comfortable clothing is necessary. Bring water and a towel.
Contraindications include the healing phase of bone fractures, acute traumas, unstable or uncontrolled high blood pressure (unless approved by a doctor), heart rhythm disorders (unless approved by a doctor), severe heart diseases, viral illnesses, fever, infectious diseases, uncontrolled epilepsy, and severe cognitive deficits.
Be active! Movement helps make life more positive and better! A supportive, motivating, and friendly environment is guaranteed!
